3A Molecular Sieve

Molecular sieves are synthetic zeolite; molecular sieve 3A is type A zeolite. Molecular sieves are hydrated metal alumino-silicates crystalline. Molecular sieve 3A is having an actual pore size of 30. The molecular sieve’s adsorption capacity will depend on the pore size and pore volume of the molecular sieve. It is potassium-based alumino-silicates. It works on the principle of adsorption. It is also known as the potassium form of type A.

Sorbead India has the largest molecular sieve series available in beaded, pelleted & powdered form based in India. Molecular sieve is manufactured under controlled temperature and dry conditions. 3A zeolite effectively adsorbs the moisture and other molecules with a kinetic diameter of less than 3A. It can exclude molecules with a kinetic diameter of greater than 3A°. For olefin drying, ethylene, propylene and butadiene 3A is the ideal choice. Drying of alkyne, polar liquids like methanol and ethanol, 3A molecular sieve is used. Cracking gas and cracking liquid drying 3A will be the best option. It is also used in various solvent drying and insulating glass windows.
