Humidity Indicating Cards
Desiccare, Inc. Manufactures a full line of humidity indicating cards which allows a low cost method of indicating humidity conditions for various types of barrier packaging, including MIL spec (MIL- I – 8835) process. The HI Cards absorb humidity around 5%, 10%, 15%, 30%, 40%, 50% and 60% complies with MS 20003-2. Humidity Indicator Cards (HIC) are printed with moisture sensitive spots which respond to various levels of humidity with a visible color change from blue to pink. HIC’s are placed inside vacuum sealed (dry packed) moisture barrier bags to monitor the inside humidity, complies absolutely with JDEC Standard 033.
Relative Humidity and Atmospheric moisture are invisible yet Very destructive Parameters that can contribute to the instant deterioration of many products. To avoid their damaging effects, Firms usually turn to packaging experts who can supply them moisture inhibitors for better protection of their goods.
It gives a visual output of the relative humidity percentage in the environment to change in color that turns blue to Pink).
The Indicating cards are small-sized, easy and simple to handle and less expensive. When it comes to precision, they should not be directly compared with expensive, complicated and non-user friendly for preservation of moisture sensitive components.
