Unit Pak
Moisture absorbing unit pak offers drying applications for packaging applications. The term unit is referring to as a bulk quantity of desiccant packets which can absorbs certain level of humidity and moisture from packaging environment. A “unit” mentions to a Military Specification for packaging. Unit paks meet MIL Spec 3464, Type I & II. Unit pak is the big frame of pillow pak. Silica gel, molecular sieves, clay and activated carbon desiccants are use inside the unit pak and packaging in tyvek paper material.

Desiccant Material:
Unit pak fill with silica gel, molecular sieve, carbon and clay- desiccants material in tyvek bag. Tyvek® packets (1/6-16 unit) (FDA approved), melfit non-woven (1/6-16 unit), kraft (1/6-4 unit) and sewn bags (8-80 units). Tyvek material is made from high density polyethylene fibers which makes it extremely tear resistant. Other characteristics of tyvek is resistant to water, light weight, smooth, flexible, breathable, low-lifting, unaffected by chemical attack and aging. Tyvek bags won’t promote corrosion and contains no sulphur.
